Poland approved energy tariffs for next year, setting the key parameter for the power industry’s profitability, in a move that is poised to slightly increase electricity bills.

The power distribution tariffs including fixed fees for renewables and capacity market, which account for about a half of the total bill, will on average increase 7.6% next year, the energy markets watchdog said on Wednesday. Warsaw-listed utilities jumped 4.5%, the most in a week.
