Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani praised her US counterpart Donald Trump for supporting peace in the Western Balkans and wider region of Europe.

Osmani, speaking in an interview with Bloomberg TV on Wednesday, said US troops presence in Kosovo was “the biggest deterrent and prevention to an escalation in the region.” US soldiers are part of NATO-led peacekeeping force that’s been in Kosovo since the end of the war with neighboring Serbia in 1999.
