Slovenia Calls for Ukraine to Have Better Seat in Talks

Slovenia’s foreign minister commended the Trump administration for working to broker a deal between Russia and Ukraine but said that the continent’s leaders and Ukraine should get a better seat at the ceasefire negotiations.

“The negotiations are ongoing and I of course commend the US administration, Trump and everyone involved, because it is good that there is time also for diplomacy, for searching for a political solution instead of a military one,” Slovenian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon said in an interview with Bloomberg Television on Tuesday. “Ukraine has to be at the table. Europe has to be at the table.”
