Greek-US LNG Deals Reshape Europe’s Energy Map, Deputy PM Says

Recent deals for Greek companies to import US liquefied natural gas into the country for export to central and eastern Europe change the energy future of Europe, Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis said.

The deals “strengthen the geopolitical importance of Greece” and “contribute to further enhancing Greek-American relations,” but also “they reshape the energy future of Europe because they change the energy map to a significant extent,” Hatzidakis said in a Bloomberg TV interview with Vonnie Quinn in New York. There are some ideas to further enhance our energy relations, he added.
