ECB’s Cipollone Says Inflation Is ‘Basically Under Control’

Consumer prices in Europe aren’t causing major concerns for the European Central Bank and the economy is holding up well, according to Executive Board member Piero Cipollone.

“The EU economy performed better than expected and inflation is basically under control,” the Italian official told a conference Thursday in Frankfurt.
