Vistra Corp. — one of the biggest US power-sector beneficiaries of the artificial intelligence boom — was upgraded to investment grade by S&P.

The independent power producer’s long-term rating was upgraded to BBB- from BB+ by S&P, which said the company’s risk profile was strengthened by a deal to sell power from a nuclear plant, its purchase of natural gas assets, and robust hedging of future output.
