Latvia Will Propose Kazaks for ECB Vice President’s Job

Latvia will recommend central-bank Governor Martins Kazaks for the No. 2 job at the European Central Bank, its prime minister said.

“Mr. Kazaks is an experienced and internationally respected professional who could become the first representative of Latvia and and also of eastern Europe in the ECB’s top management,” Evika Silina said Thursday in a post on X.
