A Bangkok restaurant serving modern German cuisines rooted in family recipes has become the second Thai eatery to secure the coveted three-star rating by Michelin Guide.

Sühring, founded by twin chefs Thomas and Mathias Sühring, was promoted to the three-star category in Thailand Michelin Guide’s 2026 edition announced on Thursday. The restaurant, housed in a restored villa in a quite corner of downtown Bangkok, joins Thai eatery Sorn as the Southeast Asian’s nation’s only recipients of the top Michelin rating.
