Poland, the biggest beneficiary of the European Union’s military funding program, is aiming to spend a big chunk of the loans to build up its drone capabilities and defenses in the face of aerial incursions by Russia.

The NATO member intends to allocate as much as €8 billion ($9.3 billion) from the program on drones and anti-drone systems, Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said on Wednesday.
