Orr Was Likely First RBNZ Governor to Get Non-Compete Payment
New Zealand’s central bank has finally confirmed that Adrian Orr is probably the first of its former governors to get a non-compete payment.
Of the Reserve Bank’s last five governors, extending back to Don Brash whose tenure began in 1988, Orr is the only one to have received a restraint-of-trade payment, the RBNZ said Friday in Wellington in response to an Official Information Act request.
