Europe Must Be Bold to Tackle Productivity Shortfall, Nagel Says

European politicians should take bold steps to revive flagging productivity and safeguard living standards, Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel said.

Speaking on Friday in Frankfurt, Nagel cited simpler regulation and better access to market-based equity financing as two key steps. While important projects like the Savings and Investments Union are underway, Europe could do better, he said.
