ECB’s Pereira Warns US Market Correction, Crypto Pose Threats

A steep correction in financial markets and crypto assets would rank among the top short-term risks to financial stability, European Central Bank Governing Council member Alvaro Santos Pereira warned.

Pereira, who also is the governor of the Bank of Portugal, said central banks must preserve room to act if another shock hits, stressing that “price stability is a priority.”
