Greeks in EU Top Jobs Part of Rebound Story, Finance Chief Says
Greek Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis embraced the idea of his compatriots taking top jobs at European Union institutions, saying this was part of the nation’s rebound story.
Asked whether his country would be nominating a candidate for the European Central Bank vice presidency next year, he declined to comment on that role in specifically, but said that “what I can tell you right now is that we would like to have many Greek names overall in European institutions.”
