Elon Musk’s X Faces Investigation by Irish Media Regulator 

Ireland’s media regulator has opened an investigation into Elon Musk’s social media platform X, saying that the company is failing to remove content users report as illegal.

The watchdog Coimisiún na Meán said in a statement on Wednesday that the investigation will assess whether X has violated the European Union’s Digital Service Act, or DSA, which requires online platforms to curb illegal or harmful content. The regulator said its concerns are supported by HateAid, a nonprofit that in 2023 took legal action against X on behalf of a Berlin-based researcher who was repeatedly banned from the platform.
