Students in the Serbian capital Belgrade demonstrated over plans to build a Trump Tower hotel complex on the site of the former Yugoslavia army headquarters, which has stood in ruins since 1999.

Several thousand protesters surrounded the location, which was badly damaged in NATO’s bombing campaign that drove Serbian forces out of Kosovo, according to live images from local media Tuesday. Demonstrators defended the ruins as a protected cultural heritage site.
