Iraqi PM Says He’ll Reshape Economy If He Wins Second Term
Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani vowed to undertake major reforms if elected for a second term, aiming to cut the budget deficit, boost private-sector employment and attract more foreign direct investment to the oil-rich country.
Sudani, 55, is standing for reelection of OPEC’s second-largest oil producer on Nov. 11, with his Construction and Development Coalition expected by analysts to win the most seats.
