Latvia Bidding to Get Eastern Europe’s First Ever ECB Board Seat

“I can confirm that Latvia intends to actively pursue a seat,” Finance Ministry communications chief Aleksis Jarockis told Bloomberg, while declining to elaborate on whose name the government intends to put forward and for which precise role.
