Jailed Turkish Crypto Boss Isolated Himself Before Apparent Suicide
The founder of a failed Turkish crypto exchange who died in prison appears to have killed himself after becoming increasingly isolated, his lawyer said.
Thodex founder Faruk Fatih Ozer, who was found dead in his cell on Saturday, “even refused to see his family lately,” Sevgi Erarslan told Bloomberg by phone. “He was isolating himself. He wasn’t attending hearings. We wanted him to be moved out of a single-person cell, but he didn’t want that either.”
