Ex-Israel Prosecutor Arrested Over Leaked Prison Video

The former chief lawyer of Israel’s military has been arrested after admitting she authorized leaking a video of reservist soldiers allegedly abusing a Palestinian prisoner — and lied to the Supreme Court about it.

Major General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi became the center of national attention Sunday night when her car was found by a beach and she was deemed missing, raising concerns she’d committed suicide. She was found after several hours and placed under arrest.
