Orange to Take Control of MasOrange in $4.9 Billion Buyout
Orange SA has agreed to buy out the remaining stake in its Spanish joint venture MasOrange for $4.9 billion, giving the French telecom giant sole ownership of a business in its second-largest European market.
Orange is proposing to buy the remaining 50% stake in the joint venture from a group of private equity firms, the company said in a statement Friday. Orange said it expects to sign a binding agreement for the deal by the end of the year, and to close it in the first half of 2026 pending regulatory approvals.
