Pakistan Says Peace Talks With Afghanistan’s Taliban Failed

Pakistan said its talks with Afghanistan’s Taliban failed to bring a “workable solution” after the regime didn’t give assurances to stop cross-border militancy, raising concern deadly clashes between the neighbors may resume.

“The Afghan side kept deviating from the core issue, evading the key point upon which the dialogue process was initiated,” Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said in an post on X. “Pakistan will continue to employ all the resources, which are required in this regard to decimate the terrorists, their sanctuaries, their abettors and supporters.”
