Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces is accused of executing dozens of people fleeing El-Fasher, the United Nations said, after the group overran the city that was the army’s last stronghold in the west of the country.

Almost 30,000 people have fled the famine-stricken capital of North Darfur state since Sunday, with hundreds needing emergency treatment upon arrival in Tawila, west of the city, according to figures from the United Nations and the humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières.
