Qualitas Eyes Renewable Energy Deals With €3.25 Billion Fund

Spanish investment fund Qualitas Energy is betting on a wave of consolidation in Europe’s clean-energy sector as it starts raising €3.25 billion ($3.8 billion) for a new fund.

Investments will be focused on assets mainly in Europe but also in the US and other developed economies, according to a prospectus filed with the Spanish securities regulator CNMV. The fund, Qualitas’s sixth, would be the second largest ever raised in Spain by a private equity firm.
