A magnitude 5.9 earthquake hit southwestern Costa Rica.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck southwestern Costa Rica near the coastal town of Quepos, according to the US Geological Survey.
The earthquake, which occured on Tuesday night local time, had a depth of 31 kilometers.
