Eos is building the factory for two gigawatt-hours of batteries after signing on Talen as a customer, doubling its energy storage-production capacity in the Pittsburgh area when the plant comes online in mid-2026, said Chief Executive Officer Joe Mastrangelo. The energy to be generated is enough to power about 1.5 million homes for an hour.
