Kosovo’s president formally nominated Prime Minister Albin Kurti to form a new government, eight months after elections left the Balkan country without a functioning cabinet.

Saturday’s move came a day after the full constitution of parliament, when lawmakers finally filled the post reserved for the Serb community and by doing so ended months of institutional gridlock.
