Sweden Pledges More Money to Bolster Its Anti-Drone Capabilities

Sweden plans to strengthen and speed up its buildup of anti-drone capabilities given a spate of recent violations in the region, Minister for Defence Pal Jonson said Friday in a postBloomberg Terminal on X.

That will result in more than 3.5 billion kronor ($367 million) being invested in the armed forces between 2026 and 2028, including weapons and sensors to counter hostile drones, according to a separate statement by the government. The funding will also help shorten the time of delivery to the military by about eight years.
