Kosovo Parliament Moves to End Deadlock as Serb List Cries Foul
Kosovo’s parliament chose a Serb deputy speaker, potentially ending eight months of political deadlock in the Balkan nation that’s prevented the formation of a government and new institutions.
Should the election of Nenad Rasic as one of the body’s five deputies on Friday survive a legal challenge, Kosovo could swear in a new government. Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who has governed as a caretaker since winning an election in February, will have to secure a majority.
