Teck Resources Ltd. once again cut output guidance for its flagship copper mine in Chile, little more than a month after agreeing one of the biggest ever mining deals with Anglo American Plc.

The cut by Teck — which will see production impacted through to 2028 — is the latest supply shock to hit the copper market where demand for the metal is set to soar with the clean-energy transition and the artificial intelligence drive. Yet a combination of accidents and disruptions has struck mines from South America to Central Africa, straining supplies.
