Electronic Arts Surpasses TXU as Biggest LBO of All Time

The takeover of Electronic Arts Inc. is set to become the largest-ever private equity buyout, beating a record that has stood for almost two decades.

A consortium including Silver Lake Management has agreed to pay $210 a share for Redwood, California-based Electronic Arts in a deal valuing the video game maker behind titles like Madden NFL and Battlefield at around $55 billion.
