The Canadian Women’s Rugby team is poised to challenge favorites England in the Rugby World Cup final on Saturday. Unlike most finalists, they had to part-crowdfund their route to the top.

Earlier this year, the team initiated “Mission: Win Rugby World Cup 2025,” a crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising C$1 million ($718,050). These funds were crucial for supporting pre-tournament training camps, warm-up matches, travel expenses, nutrition and daily operations.
