US Authorities Probe Flight Overshooting Runway in Virginia
US authorities are investigating an incident where a plane carrying 53 people overshot the runway while landing at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport in Virginia.
CommuteAir Flight 4339, which was arriving from Washington Dulles International Airport, “landed long” around 10 p.m. local time on Wednesday, the US Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement on Thursday. Both the FAA and the US National Transportation Safety Board said they were investigating the incident.
