Zloty Slumps as Trump Backs Use of Force Against Russian Jets
Poland’s zloty dropped to the weakest level this month after US President Donald Trump said NATO nations should shoot down Russian aircraft that violate their airspace, raising risks of a major escalation in the region.
The zloty traded down as much as 0.2% against the euro on Wednesday. It was among the worst performers within emerging-market currencies, along with regional peers the Hungarian forint and the Czech koruna.
