Anti-Trump, Anti-Farage Lib Dems Make Pitch for Moderate Britain

In the increasingly fractured landscape of British politics, the Liberal Democrats have spied an opportunity: to occupy the center ground by wooing moderate voters with a pitch that’s unashamedly anti-Nigel Farage and anti-Donald Trump.

“We have a historic opportunity to win big — as the only party now representing the views and values of Britain’s decent silent majority,” party leader Ed Davey said Tuesday in his keynote speech at the Lib Dems’ annual conference in Bournemouth on England’s south coast.
