Singapore to Amend Foreign-Interference Law as Threats Grow

Singapore plans to amend its foreign-interference law as tensions between global powers and conflicts such as those in the Middle East deepen divisions and raise the risk of external meddling, according to Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam.

“The global security environment is increasingly volatile,” Shanmugam said in a statement on Friday. The planned update to the law would seek “to address evolving foreign-interference tactics,” he said.
