Turkey Seizes Some Media Outlets as Part of Fraud Probe

Turkish authorities ordered the seizure of dozens of companies, including major television channels, as part of a probe into Can Holding AS, a conglomerate with assets ranging from energy to media and education.

Prosecutors allege that the Istanbul-based company was involved in organized crime, including fraud and money laundering, Turkey’s state-run news agency Anadolu said on Thursday. Can Holding didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on those allegations.
