EU’s Biggest Gas Project Lines Up More Buyers Before 2027 Launch
The project will help supply Romania and other countries at a time when the EU is moving to phase out energy imports from Moscow.
Source: OMV PetromA gas field off the coast of Romania that’s set to become the largest producing asset in the European Union is lining up additional buyers for its fuel, according to operator OMV Petrom SA.
The company, which targets first deliveries from the Neptun Deep project in the Romanian Black Sea in 2027, has “a couple” of recent deals done and also signed a contract with Germany’s Uniper SE, OMV Petrom Chief Executive Officer Christina Verchere said in an interview.
