Fed’s Goolsbee Wants Inflation Data Before Making Rate Call

Fed's Goolsbee Says He's Still Undecided on Rate Cut

Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago President Austan Goolsbee said he’s still undecided on what course of action he will support at the central bank’s Sept. 16-17 meeting, pointing to inflation data due next week.

“I want to get more information. I’m still undecided as we’re going into this,” Goolsbee said Friday during an interview with Bloomberg Television. “We’ve got to look at the inflation side too.”
