Suntory’s Ex-CEO Begins Campaign to Clear Name in Drug Probe
Takeshi Niinami, who resigned as chief executive of Suntory Holdings Ltd. after police searched his home for suspected cannabis-based products, denied possessing or transporting any illicit drugs.
“I am innocent,” Niinami said, speaking at a news conference on Wednesday as the chairman of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, a business lobby group. “I haven’t done anything that violates the law.”
