CapVest Partners agreed to buy control of Stada Arzneimittel AG, ending the long-running saga over the future of the German drugmaker.

The London-based buyout firm is acquiring a majority stake from Stada’s private equity owners, Bain Capital and Cinven, who will keep a minority holding after the transaction, according to a statement Monday. While terms weren’t disclosed, people familiar with the matter said before the deal was announced that it valued Stada at about €10 billion ($11.7 billion) including debt.
