India’s top court has set up a special investigating team to probe multiple allegations against Vantara Greens Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, an animal rescue and care project founded by billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s younger son Anant.

The order on the Supreme Court of India’s website Monday said the four member-panel will examine the accusations against Vantara of unlawful acquisition of animals, money laundering, financial irregularities and mistreatment of animals. The court order follows a public interest litigation against the facility in Jamnagar in the western state of Gujarat.
