China is preparing to showcase its latest anti-ship missiles, combat drones and nuclear-capable ballistic missiles in a parade aimed at demonstrating its military prowess — and perhaps attracting potential buyers.

Satellite imagery of a staging ground for the Sept. 3 parade shows scores of weapons that will most likely roll through the streets of Beijing. The pictures taken Aug. 9 from an Airbus satellite show armored vehicles, air defense systems, artillery pieces — including rocket launchers — and cruise missiles, according to analysts at the Open Nuclear Network in Vienna who specialize in open-source intelligence.
