Portugal’s Centeno Will Attend ECB’s September Rate Meeting

The Bank of Portugal’s outgoing head, Mario Centeno, will attend the European Central Bank’s interest rate-setting meeting next month.

Centeno, who’s set to be replaced by OECD chief economist Alvaro Santos Pereira after just one term, will still take part in the Sept. 10-11 Governing Council meeting, the Bank of Portugal said Tuesday in an emailed response to questions.
