One person has died and several others are injured after an explosion at a United States Steel Corp. plant in Pennsylvania.

The incident happened at the Clairton Coke Works facility shortly before 11 a.m., with emergency crews responding to the scene as heavy black smoke rose from the plant. Local TV coverage showed fire crews battling flames and a damaged structure.
