Ex-NYPD Commissioner Sues Adams Over ‘Systemic Corruption’
New York’s former interim police commissioner sued Mayor Eric Adams, accusing him of engaging in systemic corruption and using the police department to consolidate political power.
Thomas Donlon, appointed interim commissioner as Adams battled federal corruption charges last year, claimed in a lawsuit Wednesday that he was commissioner in name only before detailing a laundry list of allegations ranging from fraud to spying and racketeering that he says plagued the New York Police Department.
