A decision to undertake extensive revision of voter lists in the eastern Indian province of Bihar, months before a state-wide election, has prompted numerous legal challenges in the country’s Supreme Court as thousands risk getting disenfranchised.
The top court said Thursday that it would not stop the exercise, but questioned its timing. The next hearing for the arguments is set for July 28.
