President Donald Trump said he would meet again with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday to further efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza following new momentum after a US proposal to temporarily halt the fighting.

“He’s coming over later. We’re going to be talking about, I would say, almost exclusively, Gaza,” Trump told reporters during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday. “We have got to get that solved. Gaza is a tragic — it’s a tragedy, and he wants to get it solved, and I want to get it solved, and I think the other side wants to get it solved.”
