Bank of Portugal’s Centeno Says He’d Like to Serve a New Term
Bank of Portugal Governor Mario Centeno said that he wants to continue serving as head of the country’s central bank, days before his first term is set to end.
Asked if he’d like to stay on, Centeno — speaking on the sidelines of the European Central Bank’s annual retreat in Sintra — acknowledged he’d be up for it, saying “that’s a decision that someone else has to take, I’m comfortable in my position.”
