Balenciaga Names Pierpaolo Piccioli New Creative Director

Kering SA named Pierpaolo Piccioli as the new creative director of Balenciaga, replacing the fashion label’s current designer, Demna, who is moving to Gucci.

Piccioli, who was creative director at Valentino until leaving last year, will take on his new role on July 10, Kering said in a statement on Monday. His first Balenciaga collection will be unveiled in October of this year.
