Less than half of South Africa’s citizens want the government to continue enforcing a policy that promotes economic equality for Black people, News24 said, citing a poll it commissioned.

Citizens have mixed feelings about the so-called Black economic empowerment legislation aimed at economic redress post-apartheid, which benefited a White minority over other people, the poll conducted by market-research company Ipsos from late last year to early January showed.
